Radio adaptation of the Rex Stout character of Nero Wolfe, the armchair detective, who is amateur of good food (which explains his obesity) and never leaves his house on West 35th Street in New York while taking care of the cases as private detective. His assistant, Archie Goodwin, who is also the narrator, does every part of the investigation that requires to be done outside Wolfe?s house.
Although the characters for radio show were taken from the novels the episodes had original scripts for the radio and did not adapt the plots from of the novels.
In 39 episodes 3 different actors gave voice to Nero Wolfe - J.B. Williams, Santos Ortega and Luis Van Rooten, but the part of Archie Goodwin, Wolfe?s assistant and legman, was played by Joseph Julian.
