the coroner
Female, medium built and height. No visible trauma, bruises or cuts. The stomach content was consistent with what was served aboard the yacht: spaghetti and clams. Toxicology found no signs of poison in the system. A drug called quinidine, which is being used to help people with arrhythmia to regulate their heartbeat, was found in the blood. Also, a needle mark was found on the forearm of the victim. The shape of the mark and lack of infection around it suggests it was made shortly before the death. Furthermore, a small amount of imipramine, an antidepressant, was found in the blood.
Cause of death: cardiac arrest.
Time of death: around midnight on 28th October 1967.
